A family day at the Queensland Museum South Bank – the touring dinosaur exhibition and the always open Sciencentre.

No.3 fell asleep in the car on the way so missed the first 30 minutes of the day!

No.1 getting into the spirit of the Dinosaur exhibition, while No.2 just making sure it's not a 'real' dino.

I'm a mum to three, write from home and I rarely cook, craft or clean but admire those who do. I try to live by the mantra that there's no point in worrying about something that might not happen! Be warned this is not a fluffy, sweet mummy blog, rather a place where you can cringe, laugh and be shocked at my brutally honest take on my life.

  1. That looks great. Love the photos. I wonder if it’s coming to sydney, or if I have (most likely) missed it?

  2. Isn’t it awesome! I love the pic of the kids heads on the dino bodys (I also lov the escalator riding lol). Indi’s FDC Mum took her last week and they had so much fun. She really enjoyed digging for dinosaur bones. She also just had her second birthday and her cake was a dinosaur so she is a little obsessed with them at the mo lol

  3. It’s been YEARS since I’ve been to the museum – my kids are a bit old now. But I’m thinking the hubster and I could go and have some fun all by ourselves! PS you have gorgeous children 🙂

  4. Love these pics, i the exhibtion comes to sydney i am all over it!! I love the freaky photos!!

  5. Great shots Em! The kids look like they had a ball. I love standing under that whale at the entrance, can’t get my head around how huge it is xx

  6. Oh the ole whale court at the museum. Love it.

  7. The heads on a plate are amusing.

  8. Those fruit bowl pics – super freaky!!! How did you do them??? Great expo – mine would have loved it! X

  9. Our family adores the Science Centre…Going to have to go there again soon! 🙂

  10. Please explains the head on the plate thing? I’m a bit freaked out!

  11. So there are mirrors opposite the tables (on the outside) and kids walk around the back (where there are no mirrors) and poke their head up through a small hole and viola! Bad explanation right? Sorry 😦 xx

  12. We loved the Dino exhibit at the museum, but I think the stick insects were our favourite – did you see them? Enormous!

  13. Love the fruit platter! That is awesome 🙂

  14. Great photos! Love the fruit platter ones! Indeed very freaky!
