Over the weekend I was a mother to five kids under five-and-a-half-years old – now surely that deserves another trophy?
After having five young children under my roof for three nights – I’m not sure I will ever moan about my three again (yeah right).
Honestly though, to those who have lots of young children, I salute and admire you – but certainly wouldn’t want to be you – no offence!
Did you have a crazy weekend? How many kids do you want/have?

I’m happy with 1. I get a second one 3 times a week, that’s enough! Nick just saw the pic and said “Who’s there instead of me?” 😦
August 28, 2013 at 7:37 am
Tell him it’s Maddi’s other boyfriend from scho! Ha ha. xx
August 28, 2013 at 7:42 am
More than 1 is a nightmare!! We went on a picnic with close friends and there was about 100 kids there, the lunatics have taken over the assylum for sure!!
August 29, 2013 at 7:54 pm
It’s a bit like a mental asylum here most days Ann – just with our three! x
August 28, 2013 at 7:53 am
One 2.5 year old kept me busy enough! Seven!! I bet they had a great time!
August 29, 2013 at 7:55 pm
Yes you’re right Kaz, they totally did, I just had a very messy house, empty cupboards, but I’m sure my friend was grateful – still waiting on the big bottle of bubbly to arrive 😉
August 28, 2013 at 8:08 am
But 5 suits you Em. Go another 2, I dare you 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 7:55 pm
Umm no it doesn’t crazy lady – I think three suits you – NOW there’s a dare x
August 29, 2013 at 8:52 pm
Ha ha I love a dare! 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 8:58 pm
Yay I take that as a yes!! I’ll be waiting with baited breath Neets! xx
August 29, 2013 at 8:59 pm
I just need hubby to stop working 7 days till midnight. I won’t get preggers on my own. Lol
August 29, 2013 at 8:59 pm
Ha ha – classic xx
August 28, 2013 at 8:46 am
Bless you Em, you gave someone a few days off. I had 5 boys 5yrs plus 4 x7yrs here one afternoon – they were fine outside but oh the worry of handing them back in one piece and feeding them all.
August 29, 2013 at 7:57 pm
Wow that is a lot of kids Trish, super woman!! And yes I was glad to be able to help, and I’m sure they appreciated it x
August 28, 2013 at 9:51 am
I imagine it would’ve been a very noisy, action packed 3 days. Is your throat sore from yelling over the top of them?
August 29, 2013 at 7:57 pm
I just gave up in the end and got drunk 😉 And you know I’m not kidding x
August 28, 2013 at 10:21 am
Woah! Good luck to you!

Thanks for visit Christy 🙂
August 28, 2013 at 11:18 am
Whoa, that is A LOT of kids! I love the idea of having a large family but I don’t know how I would cope with the actuality of it!
xx
August 29, 2013 at 7:59 pm
Three is def our lot – any more and I’d be more mental than I already am x
August 28, 2013 at 11:29 am
Welcome to my everyday with my 6!
Always can’t wait to push them all out the door, including Hubby, on a Monday! Lol!
Bet it was noisy for you. Nice pic to capture the memories!
August 29, 2013 at 7:59 pm
You are my hero, no shit Jody – I bet you can’t wait to see the back of them each day x
August 28, 2013 at 1:02 pm
I have two and two is plenty 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 8:00 pm
Yes, yes it is, and remember that when you get clucky – or come and revisit my blog for a reminder 😉 x
August 28, 2013 at 1:13 pm
And you’re still smiling!! That’s a handful hun xx
August 29, 2013 at 8:01 pm
Maybe it was more of a grimace, or gas? 😉 x
August 28, 2013 at 5:00 pm
I was about to say.. uhmmm there were 7 kids there… CRAZY!! 🙂 love that you are still smiling xx
August 29, 2013 at 8:01 pm
See above comment, it must have been gas or someone just tickled me xx
August 28, 2013 at 8:47 pm
Wow! What loads of fun you guys must have! My kids hardly get to play with kids their age which is really sad.
August 29, 2013 at 8:02 pm
It was fun for the kids, not as much for us adults but we got there in the end 🙂
August 28, 2013 at 8:58 pm
Good on you for braving so many kids for a weekend. I know that 3 is definitely enough for me!!!
August 29, 2013 at 8:02 pm
It wasn’t my choice Kirst but I suppose someone had to do it! Three is definitely enough for me too
August 28, 2013 at 9:56 pm
Crazy! Hats off to you. I always wanted two. Cam wanted four. I’ve come around to the idea of four, but we just have to play it by ear and see if (medically) it can actually happen. x
August 29, 2013 at 8:03 pm
WHAT FOUR – are you kidding me Em – you are a crazy legend – just have a bigger gap and it won’t be as bad I suppose 🙂
August 28, 2013 at 10:22 pm
Yep! That definitely sounds like insanity to me. Bet you were glad to hand a couple back!
August 29, 2013 at 8:04 pm
Sure was glad to hand some back, and mum was glad to have them back, although I haven’t seen her since she picked them up so I hope they’re all still alive and kicking!!!
August 28, 2013 at 10:25 pm
I have three all together. One grown up one and two who drive me bonkers, all day every day. My mum had five under five, and yes, she deserves a medal!! My littlest sis turned 36 last week and I turn 41 in a few weeks, I have to say there was a set of twins in between, after the sister I am now the same age as for 3 weeks 😉 Work that one out!!
August 29, 2013 at 8:04 pm
Your mum is a total legend Alicia that’s for sure – WOW – Twins, I bet if you had more kids you’d have twins, best to quite while you’re ahead I’d say x
August 29, 2013 at 1:31 am
I admire my step-mother who had 6 of us (as teenagers) all living under the same roof. One weekends that number would often triple. She would just smile her way through it – amazing.
August 29, 2013 at 8:05 pm
Back in the day I suppose they just had to go with the flow! That is A LOT of kids – thanks for visit 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 3:53 am
The photo portrays a very civilised little gathering. What a gorgeous bunch! Cheers, Alison
August 29, 2013 at 8:06 pm
Yes it ‘portrays’ a very rare second when everyone wasn’t MENTAL and yelling ! 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 12:56 pm
I love that you got seven young children to sit for a photo so nicely!! I would give you a trophy, I love the IDEA of a big family, but three kids is crazy enough! Good job, I am sure your help was much appreciated!
August 29, 2013 at 8:07 pm
It was my BFF who took the photo and it was hard to get! I’d like to think the help was appreciated. Three kids is WAY big enough Becky I agree 😉
August 29, 2013 at 1:25 pm
Oh my goodness, this sounds like a crazy weekend!
I don’t have any children, but I do have a gorgeous niece and nephew who I am exhausted after looking after a weekend, I don’t think I’m ready for my own just yet…
Zoe xx
August 29, 2013 at 8:07 pm
Yes Zoe, no rush, slow and steady, and SOAK up the you time while you can – thanks for the visit and enjoy being able to give your nephew and niece back 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 3:26 pm
Good effort Em! That’s quite a tribe! Most of the time two is too much for me 😉 They must have had heaps of fun together! xx
August 29, 2013 at 8:08 pm
Yes two was too much for me also but somehow we got three and I’m still functioning – just – twitch twitch 😉
August 29, 2013 at 4:24 pm
oh such fun….the more the merrier. Actually I miss not having little ones around all of the time. I would love to have more but hubby decided five boys was enough. I think that when they are little its hard work, but they get easier as time goes on – and having more than a few means that they can have more fun 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 8:09 pm
Now you TOTALLY know what I’m talking about – some people, like you, are born to have lots of children, me I’m born to have three and then just babysit more. x
August 29, 2013 at 6:13 pm
Beautiful pictures, you have to be very patient with young children, congratulations!
August 29, 2013 at 8:09 pm
Thanks for saying so Leovi, I do find it hard to be patient but I’m working on it! I appreciate the visit 🙂
August 29, 2013 at 9:29 pm
Oh, they’re beautiful pictures. At least the weather’s been beautiful to get them all outside playing. I bet everything since then has felt just that little bit easier!
August 29, 2013 at 9:38 pm
Yes I have to say it made me appreciate my three angels! xx
August 29, 2013 at 9:55 pm
Oh, wow Em! You deserve another trophy, that’s for sure!!! But look how happy you look to be surrounded by them. Showing your true maternal instincts 🙂 x
August 31, 2013 at 1:22 am
We’re happy with 2. I’m out of hands! I always have an awe inspiring look on my face when I see school mom’s with more than 3. It takes a whole other kind of patience to take care of that many! Especially when I see a woman with 7!
September 2, 2013 at 8:28 pm
The word ‘saint’ comes to mind!
September 3, 2013 at 9:55 am
You’re too kind – just helping a friend x
September 2, 2013 at 11:41 pm
You are so brave x
September 3, 2013 at 9:55 am
Or completely cray cray Hel!
