If you ask me every day is like Father’s Day around this joint!
And I can say that without fear of being stabbed in the eye because 95 per cent of my readers are women (who are quietly nodding their head right now).
Let me clarify myself in five ways:
1. ALWAYS THE FAVOURITE
My husband is always revered, adored and the kids BOUND out the door when he flies up the driveway nearly crashing into the garage door arrives home from work. He can do no wrong and I become chopped liver (which I secretly LOVE).
2. HOUSEWORK
I’m pretty much chief cook and bottle washer around here anyhow and so telling him not to lift a finger won’t be needed. I should say that he does unload the dishwasher. This is a job I hate so much that I’ll wash dishes by hand instead of unloading in order to re-load it (does that even make sense?) .
3. GOODIES
We always have a steady supply of chocolate and lollies in the house, so there’s no need for Father’s Day gluttony around here.
4. PASHING
I’m always trying to pash him – usually at inappropriate times – this isn’t something I only try to do on the first Sunday in September.
5. SOCKS & JOCKS
I buy these when they’re on special at the shops, why just spread the sock and jock love one day a year – you can’t get a much better wife than that surely??
BEFORE YOU START DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS HUSBAND – PLEASE READ THE PHOTO BELOW
I will do all of this for you on your special day – especially the non-nagging part!!
To those of who have a dad – celebrate, nurture and love him.
To those who no longer have a living dad – hugs to you.
To my dad – I love you to the moon and back!
To my husband – you are my soul mate, my rock and I appreciate everything you do for me and our crazy gorgeous family!
What you got planned this Sunday?
Is every day Father’s Day at your house??
Gonna flog ma blog with Grace @ With Some Grace tomoz!

Pretty much! But he irons his own clothes. I dont do ironing π
August 29, 2013 at 8:12 pm
Me either, ironing is for sissies and those who wear cotton – which I no longer because it requires ironing!! π
August 29, 2013 at 7:56 pm
LOL you’ve hit the nail on the head there. Love it!
August 29, 2013 at 8:12 pm
Thanks lovely lady π x
August 29, 2013 at 8:25 pm
Hahaha! I can really relate to the first one! I spend all day ( and night) cuddling, playing and feeding my 6 month son. Hubby comes home and immediately the bubba’s arms reach out for him. I’m chopped liver!!
This Father’s Day, I will treat him nice. I will continue to nag, but will do it with a smile and dressed in lingerie π
August 29, 2013 at 8:38 pm
Oh that is a great idea, I’m SOO stealing that one π
x
August 29, 2013 at 8:58 pm
Great post! Yep, every day is Father’s Day around here. But a special brunch and dinner will make Sunday a bit more special. Enjoy at your house! x
August 29, 2013 at 8:59 pm
Thanks Em, we’re doing Sat night dinner and I’ll give hubby a sleep in xx
August 29, 2013 at 9:03 pm
Favourite meal, lots of booze and the footy on the telly. Thant’s about it…
August 29, 2013 at 9:09 pm
Yep same here except I’ll give him a sleep in x
August 29, 2013 at 9:41 pm
Gotta love a good pash! We’re off for a pub lunch on Sunday – the local is putting on a petting zoo for the kids so hopefully Mr Banya will be able to relax for 5 minutes. π
August 29, 2013 at 9:48 pm
I’m sure 5 minutes is as good as it gets! Enjoy Hun xx
August 29, 2013 at 9:58 pm
Lol. The granny with the gun made me crack up. I think that’s awesome you’re always going in for the pash π You sound like you have a great relationship π
August 30, 2013 at 7:42 am
That photo is classic right?! Nothing like a pash and dash Ren x
August 29, 2013 at 10:14 pm
What a lovely tribute to your lucky Mr.
Dad is definitely the favourite here too, they gang up on me because I try to keep everything organized!
I hope you have a gorgeous Father’s Day in your house Em xx
August 30, 2013 at 7:42 am
Same to you Lease, hope you have a lovely family day together – and I’m sure weather will be perfect for us Qld’ers! x
August 29, 2013 at 11:37 pm
Isn’t this the truth?? Daddies can do no wrong and we are so quickly vilified because we {gasp!} make them clean their rooms or eat protein before dessert! Great post! Definitely one that many parents can relate to! nd kiddos to your hubby for taking on dishwasher duty!
August 30, 2013 at 7:43 am
You are so right! I don’t mind being the baddie (sometimes) especially if it means I can escape without being noticed – thanks for visit π
August 30, 2013 at 7:18 am
My husband sent the kids to bed early because we were getting up early and they blamed me – and I hadn’t said a word! What’s with that????
August 30, 2013 at 7:44 am
Yes we are to blame for EVERYTHING! – have a great day L π
August 30, 2013 at 9:01 am
Thanks for the morning funny π
Unusually nice weather will be gracing us on Sunday so we might hit the seaside and the hubby has requested breakfast in bed. I can handle that.
August 30, 2013 at 12:05 pm
A trip to the beach sounds delightful – enjoy! Nice to have you over at my blog!!!!
August 30, 2013 at 9:27 am
You had me until point #5. Hell it’s Father’s Day, not his BIRTHDAY! π
August 30, 2013 at 12:05 pm
He gets even less on his birthday, from the kids anyhow! π
August 30, 2013 at 10:50 am
My kids are buying their things for Dad from the school stall today so that’s taken care of. My birthday often falls on Father’s Day (I have never accepted this fact), but this year my birthday will be on the Monday! Yay! I guess I will let him celebrate a little but he’ll have to share the day!
He does get all the good attention though. I just get nagged and ignored like most Moms!

My daughter had a stall for Mother’s Day but not Dad’s day π¦ My mum’s birthday is the 2nd also!!! So she has had to share her day for 65 years (next week) Go the virgos π Yes we are nagged and annoyed because they love us so much π x

I’m a single mama and have been for over a year but just loved this post and it made me laugh, a lot!
Some very great tips here Xx
August 31, 2013 at 9:05 am
Glad you got a laugh Bek – I’m sure you remember some of these well. Have a great day π
August 30, 2013 at 1:31 pm
Great post, Emily. I’m taking my man and our boys away for a weekend of sun, surf and fishing (it’s a boy thing) – they fish, I sit in a chair with my book and a glass of wine- everyone’s a winner. Happy fathers’ day to all the dads xx
August 31, 2013 at 9:07 am
That sounds perfect Leanne – great weather for it too!! Enjoy your book beside the water x
August 30, 2013 at 3:31 pm
It is definitely Fathers Day everyday in our house!
We are going to my fab brother and sis-in-laws place for lunch on Sunday, where I am sure we will be spoilt with the best food and wine.
August 31, 2013 at 9:11 am
Lovely you don’t have to host on Sunday! And you’re the only one so far to admit it’s pretty much always dad’s day! Enjoy your weekend x
August 30, 2013 at 4:07 pm
“Sexy time”??? What’s that?? Ooooooh…THAT!
My folks are coming over this arvo for the weekend so my dad’ll be part of the festivities.
While his nagging drives me up the proverbial, it’s nice having him here with us π
August 31, 2013 at 9:12 am
It’s a parent thing! My mum is always full of well intended advice! Most of the time she’s right but I won’t admit it – have a great weekend xx
August 30, 2013 at 4:19 pm
Up until recently butter wouldn’t melt in Dyl’s mouth when Paul was around..I am secretly grinning because he too now has to deal with the epic tantrums and the 5000 questions per second.
August 31, 2013 at 11:23 am
Ha ha – now he cops it like you do!! Hubby knows what they can be like, sort of but rarely gets the screaming fits I do!
August 30, 2013 at 6:30 pm
Love this post. I’m with you on the pashing.
Kids are sorted with presents through school, pre-school and daycare. MissyMoo2 (4) couldn’t wait though and gave him part of his present yesterday! The kids have a friend’s birthday party to go to on Father’s Day (they didn’t realise it was Father’s Day when they organised it) so Hubby actually gets some kiddy free time while I take them to the party. Not bad π
August 31, 2013 at 11:26 am
YAY for another pash and dasher! Isn’t it fantastic how much they love their dads, makes me so happy! SCORE for dad that you have party! x
August 30, 2013 at 7:44 pm
My hubby is here all the time now, he probably wants a day away from all of us for a change. Love the Granny photo. Hilarious!
August 31, 2013 at 11:27 am
The granny is hilarious – makes me laugh out loud! Have a great weekend π
August 30, 2013 at 7:50 pm
Can’t say that my husband has Father’s Day every day around here. But let me tell you, if you impregnate me with triplets, I pretty well will guarantee that you are going to be working your $*@ off with me! Having said that, I do provide very good working conditions!
August 31, 2013 at 11:28 am
Ha ha – TRIPLETS – wow – talk about busy. Yes he has to help otherwise you’d be in the looney bin for sure! Thanks for the visit Caitlin π
August 31, 2013 at 7:59 am
Wise words darling, we are a bit low on the dad supply around here but I have a super sexy man friend (and dad in his own right) who I will endeavour to pash as much as possible this weekend, even at the footie tonight x
August 31, 2013 at 11:29 am
Oooo now I LOVE the sound of that – YAY for you – nothing like a pash at the footie! Have a lovely day π
August 31, 2013 at 2:53 pm
LOL, this is a post that had to be written. No Dad here this month, so I got to eat the cookies that came home from school – win. Extra snigging when he gets back in three weeks – promise.
September 2, 2013 at 1:12 pm
I bet you’re having a busy week with just you – bet you’re looking forward to dad’s return. Have a great week and thanks for visit xx
September 1, 2013 at 1:07 pm
So far today I’ve chatted to a bloke about buying our car, taken the girls for a walk and given Punky lunch and put her down for her nap. Once she wakes up we are going to attempt to make Dave some brownies seeing as I haven’t had a chance to actually buy him something. I am also going to put dinner in the slow cooker once I can get Zee off to sleep and out of my arms! Hope you’re having a great day!
September 2, 2013 at 1:13 pm
WOW you are super mumma – incredible Ky – don’t keep it up or you’ll get so tired. And I knew you’d cope with Dave there, you’re a natural born mumma – π
September 1, 2013 at 8:33 pm
Beautiful sentiments Em – I espesh love the pashing one – hahaha – I imagine you launching on him in the hallway. Sounds like a whole lotta love. How gorgeous π can’t believe you buy socks and jocks so often hehe.
September 2, 2013 at 1:14 pm
I just love jumping out of nowhere to surprise him! Yes I’m all about practicality π
September 2, 2013 at 12:29 pm
Love this, you wonderfully nutty woman, you! Spot on – all of it! Except, my husband tries to pash me more, I think. I can’t compete, he’s Latin and I’m not. Love your posts π Katie over at Mumabytes xo
September 2, 2013 at 1:14 pm
Lucky that you’re the pashee – is that even a word?? Thanks for visit Katie, have a great week ahead π
September 2, 2013 at 11:42 pm
It’s often Father’s Day here too. But am guilty of nagging…
September 3, 2013 at 9:54 am
It’s part of the job description I think – nagging π
