I’m a mum to three – at one stage I had 3 aged 3.5 and under, this was actually only a year ago !!
I am a journalist. There I said it. But since I’ve had kids I’ve become a freelance writer, much more acceptable right?
In saying that I always have my ear to the ground, am SUPER nosy and am VERY inquisitive.
Now I work about 25-30 hours a week from home, and to say I’m sane is a definite overstatement.
I’ve spent too many years of my life worrying about what others think – what a waste of energy.
I don’t stress about anything I have no control over – It’s a wasted emotion and I’ve spent years doing it, but not anymore.
I say what I think, do what I want but I don’t do it to offend or upset people.
In saying that I will sometimes let sleeping dogs lie because I don’t want the conflict or don’t want to get involved.
I love being right but can handle being wrong, although I’m pretty sure at not speaking unless I know I’m 100 per cent right!
My three munchkins, my UBER supportive husband, my honest family and friends are my world.
But my passion is writing and I hope that at least one person who reads my blog can relate to what I am going through (or at least pretend to!!)
Being a mum is a bloody hard job, way worse than having to deal with people who hate journalists because ”we all lie”.
However it is the most rewarding profession in the world! Motherhood that is, not journalism.
