Getting this close to the water is a big deal for my boy – he didn’t want to even come to the beach!
Psyching himself up for a wave to come.
Oh crap, another wave was coming in close behind this one so it became a lot bigger than I, and he, expected!!!
A great action shot, if I do say so myself, so I just had to zoom in to show him getting air!
Getting SMASHED by the wave! I promise I ran over to see how he was as soon as I took this photo!
I was convinced he would scream his head off and run away but this is him, minutes after – ready to face the waves again. I was so proud.
And you can imagine my shock when he ran back into the ocean again – that’s my boy!
The ocean is a powerful thing and it should be respected.

Over the weekend I was a mother to five kids under five-and-a-half-years old – now surely that deserves another trophy?
Ahhh – so peaceful just me, myself and I.
It didn’t last for long – I was soon bamboozled with love from seven gorgeous cherubs, three of which were mine, two were staying with us over the weekend and two more were just visiting!
After having five young children under my roof for three nights – I’m not sure I will ever moan about my three again (yeah right).
Honestly though, to those who have lots of young children, I salute and admire you – but certainly wouldn’t want to be you – no offence!

My eagle-eyed and very observant two-year-old (in 3 weeks) found this ant and was amazed by what it was doing!
Here is a close up of what he saw, a small ant pulling probably 10 times its weight in cheese – ain’t nature amazing!

This was the spa pool – but was the same degrees as the main pool – kids had a ball though!
Three-wheel fun thanks to D – he was such a big help with all the little kids and we were all so grateful to him!

Right now it’s taking all my strength to get through each day with toddlers who wake at 4.30/5am and then fight, scream, ignore or talk my head off non-stop from DAWN TIL DUSK!
I’m tired, not just your average tired, the nothing left in the tank tired.
But thankfully it’s Wordless Wednesday so I’m posting pics to remind myself how privileged I am to be the caregiver and mum of three gorgeous shits souls.
They send me to the deeps of insanity EVERY day – especially when they just laugh at me when I tell them off.

Looking back I can’t believe I was ever this BIG pregnant – but here I am – 11 days before No.3 was born in 2011!
Making appearances with a very TIRED looking me are; the Husband, my gorgeous daughter (not quite 3.5 years), and my son (just shy of 21 months).
These photos were taken by a talented friend – who also makes and creates unique accessories for bubs and kids, eg inserts for car seats, taggies, wheatbags, cushions – all in funky designs and fabrics Bub n Boo

We could have been on any tropical beach in the South Pacific, except we were a one-hour ferry trip from Brisbane.
Not a bad view huh!
In the background you can see the shipwreck, the quad bike track and the front right is our balcony!
Some of the 220 steps we did up from the beach to our house. Then it was 220 down. THEY WERE TIRING!
The sunsets were just beautiful!

We had 10 dolphins come in for a feed, and two babies, just adorable.
Mum and bub were quite a hit with the tourists!

Behind me is the wreck the Husband and I swam next to, we didn’t have fins and current was too strong so we didn’t attempt heading out. The crazy face is a result of having a drinkie on the beach! Our friends gave us two hours without kids, and we did the same for them, best idea ever!
